Abstract
We investigate the frequencies of hydrogen bonds in protein secondary structure,
including ones involving sidechains.
We study the effect of wrapping on the frequency of these bonds.
We show that hydrogen bonds between the mainchain and sidechains occur most frequently
when there are nearby structural defects due to a lack of wrapping.
