VL Implementation Details

Abstract
This report provides various details of the implementation of VL, the
runtime component for the HL programming language. HL is a scripting
language targeted at handheld computers. The sections describe the VL
internal data storage, its functions (including examples of how to
construct a builtin function), the instruction format, object files, and a
guide on the system's portability features.
